These positions are non-exempt under the provisions of the FLSA and may work rotating 12-hour shifts. These positions are subject to overtime, working weekends, holidays, and shift work.
Special Entrance Rate
Police Officer 1 - $18.58/hour
Police Officer 2 - $19.88/hour
As part of a Career Progression Group, the vacancy may be filled from this recruitment as a Police Officer 1 or Police Officer 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
