NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Program Manager is a member of the Education division and works as part of a team responsible for managing the implementation of Prime Time’s suite of humanities-based, intergenerational literacy and family engagement programs. Program Managers engage in planning and implementing bi-annual grant cycles by supporting recruiting, training, resourcing, and data collection while providing technical assistance, as needed, to Louisiana grantees. Additionally, the Program Manager will support division operations related to program quality, assessment, fundraising and reporting, and community engagement. Some travel to assigned grantee sites is required. This is an early career opportunity and requires you to have an affinity for project management, outstanding communication and writing skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to be flexible.
JOB FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL-
- Manage and monitor grantee programs, maintain accurate records, and provide status reports for ongoing processes.
- Oversee administrative aspects of Prime Time program implementation (e.g., managing grant contracts, processing payments, ordering program support supplies and materials.)
- Communicate essential information to grantees in a timely manner.
- Facilitate training and technical support of external partners to implement Prime Time programming with fidelity.
- Proactively anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts or program issues.
- Analyze data to determine the effectiveness of programs.
- Engage in community outreach activities.
- Engage in ongoing program improvement planning with the team.
- Engage in annual planning with the team.
- Prioritize and address requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships.
- Provide courteous and prompt service to all internal and external stakeholders.
MARGINAL-
- Assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Orient new co-workers and actively support teamwork throughout the organization.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years of program administration experience, preferably in literacy and/or youth-centered environments.
- Prior experience in non-profit entity, early learning, educational, and/or federal grant management.
Core Skills:
- Accurate documentation and record keeping using CRM database software (e.g. Salesforce).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to program partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High degree of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to engage in positive public interaction.

- Facility with common software applications for non-profits, including Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and grant management software (e.g., Foundant).
- Bi-lingual ability is a plus.
Travel:
- LEH is a statewide organization, travel is required.
