What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Scheduling Coordinator position at Louisiana Fire Extinguisher Inc?
The function of this position is to aid in front office customer support and sales, permitting process, and to help maintain daily schedules /routes for a service department. Employee will also answer phone calls and communicate with company personnel and customers throughout the day to ensure work is completed. There will be opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Customer service with front office / shop counter sales
- Must be able to effectively listen and clearly communicate to customers
- Ability to efficiently plan schedules based on service priority and importance and geographic location
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments as needed
- Manage permits for department
- Take incoming customer calls
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems and requests for service or equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by executive management or CEO

Knowledge:
- Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some secondary education is desirable
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
Work Experience:
- Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching, scheduling or project management preferred
- Experience in construction or utilities a plus
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication, customer service, and planning skills
- Computer skills and proficiency in Office apps
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
