Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgical cases
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and sterile protocols
- Assess patient needs and collaborate with the surgical team
- Document intraoperative activities and patient responses
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- CNOR certification preferred but not required
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to adapt to high-acuity and specialized surgical cases (e.g., trauma, orthopedics, cardiac, neurosurgery)
Additional Requirements:
- Valid LA RN license at submission
- Preparedness to care for COVID-19 patients
- Compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccine guidelines (medical or religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
