Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the safety and well-being of both patients and staff within the dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization of instruments, medical supplies and equipment using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe environment.
- Assist in the preparation of instruments and tray setups for various dental procedures.
- Utilize dental software systems for tracking inventory and managing patient records.
- Collaborate with dental assistants in a four-handed dentistry setting to facilitate efficient workflow during procedures.
- Stay updated on dental terminology and best practices related to aseptic technique.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a sterilization role preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes and typing skills are essential.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Hours
- Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Off for major holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $1.00 per hour
