Clinic Director
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Clinic Director is responsible for the smooth running of the clinic, including managing clinical staff, ensuring patient safety, and developing and implementing policies.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Supervises Clinical Staff and Certain Administrative Staff
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. In Consort with CEO and front office lead to coach and lead clinical staff to instill the organization’s mission, vision and core values through education, demonstration, huddles and results.
2. Leads clinical staff to efficiently direct patient flow throughout the clinic.
3. Assist back-office staff as needed with rooming, assessment, procedure assist, provider assist, intake of medical history into EMR. Assists practice manager with supervision of clinical staff and is the primary contact person for all clinical staff.
4. Organize staff meetings, safety announcements, training, and other events
5. Ensure quality patient care while overseeing the administrative and legal aspects of the facility
6. Shall lead on-going quality monitoring of competencies of staff and assist in training and education of all clinical staff
7. Assists physicians in coordinating employee evaluations and administering corrective actions.
8. Organizes and conducts clinic site council representing clinical staff at all meetings.
9. Interact with patients and customers, daily, to resolve patient issues and concerns.
10. Works in partnership with the physicians, physician assistants and clinical staff to provide excellent customer service.
11. Recruit, train, and evaluate staff, and ensure they follow the clinic’s standards.
The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position. Place medical supply orders as well as helping with inventory management.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health science, or related area (required)
Master’s degree in public health administration or a related discipline (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five to seven years’ experience in physician practice. Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
KNOWLEDGE:
1. Three years’ working experience in a medical practice or clinic. Previous supervisory experience in a medical clinic setting is preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates an ability to generate creative and innovative approaches to solve problems.
SKILLS:
1. Skilled in defusing difficult situations and able to be consistently pleasant and helpful.
2. Skill in using computer programs and applications.
3. Skill in establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
ABILITIES:
1. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.
2. Ability to understand patient demographic information and determine insurance eligibility.
3. Ability to work independently and demonstrate the ability to analyze data.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
