LOUISIANA PIGMENT COMPANY
Position: Controller
Primary Report to: Plant Manager
Primary Supervision of: Buyers, Purchasing Clerk, Accounting Secretary, Accounting Supervisors
Required Qualification: B.S. in Accounting or Finance with minimum 10 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP and SAP implementation is a plus.
Responsibilities / Key Activities:
- Directs the activities of the Plant Accounting and Purchasing departments.
- Ensures the integrity of financial and site business control systems.
- Ensures that the Plant Standard Cost Accounting System accurately reflects manufacturing cost by product.
- Responsible for property and sales taxes.
- Accountable for leading and coordination of the annual plant budgeting process.
- Accountable for the hourly payroll data entry.
- Ensures that accounting records of inventory, fixed assets, and all financial data are maintained in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Makes decisions regarding control of expenditures.
- Accountable for local vendor management.
- Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
