Floor Technician
Duties:
- Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in various settings, including offices, schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings.
- Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
- Strip and wax floors using appropriate chemicals and techniques.
- Apply sealants and finishes to protect and enhance the appearance of floors.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Respond to requests for spot cleaning or emergency clean-up.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Skills:
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of floors.
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy equipment or supplies as needed.
