Facility Groundskeeper

We have a challenging opportunity for a Facility Groundskeeper in our Louisiana Spirits/Bayou Rum manufacturing Distillery & Visitor Center Site located in Lacassine, La. We are seeking team members who can make a big difference in establishing our distillery in Louisiana.

The role will ultimately be responsible for maintaining the grounds around the facility which includes the visitor center, farmhouse, event center and anything related in a highest possible quality. It is important to have well maintained site as it is a direct reflection of the facility which is important to our brand and consumer image. Our facility is a drug free environment with a zero-tolerance policy.

· Regular lawn care and landscaping of all exterior grounds

· Perform cleaning tasks of facility, grounds, and buildings which includes picking up and disposing of trash, emptying exterior waste bins

· Operate aerial work equipment as needed

· Ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and facility grounds

· Assist setup and removal of table and chairs for scheduled events as needed

· Performs other duties as required or assigned

· Attention to detail

· Strong judgment and professional maturity with achieving results

· Knowledge of use and operation of man lift, forklift, hand tools, power tools, pressure washer, and lawncare equipment

· Previous landscaping and lawncare experience preferred

· Excellent problem solving & communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment

· Highly motivated self-starter with minimal supervision required

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Minimum age 21 with valid driver's license

· Must be able to complete repetitive motions

· Able to work in extreme climate elements

· Up and down stairs and ladders frequently

· Able to setup tables and chairs as needed

· Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs

· Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor/and or manager

· Assists other employees in accomplishment of company goals

· Participates in and completes company-required training programs

· Provides own transportation to and from distillery

· Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary in 26 biweekly (twice a month) payments each pay period. You will also be eligible to share in the company’s performance bonuses. Louisiana Spirits LLC will provide healthcare insurance for the individual with an option for dependents to be paid by the individual. Paid time off after probationary period which includes sick, vacation, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
