The Assistant Director of NIL is responsible for the education surrounding name, image and likeness & brand development for student-athletes at Louisiana State University. Education will include, but not be limited to, financial literacy, time management, developing a personal brand & content creation. Additionally, this position will assist the student-athletes with content creation within the realm of NIL and NIL partnerships. Responsibilities include working with the Assistant AD/NIL, as well as the NILSU staff, to identify NIL partnerships/deliverables and help the student-athletes understand and execute these deliverables within the parameters of the NIL agreements. Additionally, this position will work with the NIL staff & comprehensive education team to establish consistent educational programming and resources for all student-athletes, coaches and community members, as well as provide recruiting support to all sports at LSU. The Assistant Director of NIL will be responsible for ensuring the execution of NIL opportunities for all student-athletes while maintaining good relationships with the NILSU staff, external groups, student-athletes, coaches and staff to maximize the NIL efforts for LSU.
25% Work with the NILSU staff to create educational resources focused on brand development for student-athletes, coaches, staff and recruiting purposes; Work with the NIL staff to create supplement resources to help educate, communicate with and help secure relationships with local, regional, and national brands; Work with the NIL staff to provide both one-on-one and group education to the student-athletes, coaches and staff.
20% Oversee the branding process and work with student-athletes to create brand identify meetings to develop a strong personal brand; Work with student-athletes in content creation and what it means to invest in your personal brand; Monitor student-athletes social media usage and become familiar with designated platform to track social media growth.
20% Work with the Assistant AD/NIL & NILSU staff to identify NIL opportunities and deliverables expected within those opportunities; oversee the creative process and work with the student-athletes to educate them on the quality and completion of their deliverables; Provide support and education in the content creation surrounding specific NIL opportunities.
20% Support virtual and in-person recruiting efforts as permitted by NCAA legislation, including but not limited to, recruiting presentations for all sports, recruiting presentation material, and educational resources.
5% Oversee the NILSU social media and create consistent posting schedules that include (but are not limited to) educational content, student-athlete features, podcast appearances, and event recaps.
5% Assist with all educational events and in programming on university campus; Research and benchmark collegiate NIL industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions; Stay updated on the latest NIL trends and best practices, including legislative advancements, NCAA compliance regulations, and vendor landscape evolutions.
5% Adapt role to maximize opportunities as a result of evolving changes in NCAA rules and regulations; Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with two years of of related experience; Organizational and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a DI athletic program as a coach or administrator; Knowledge of collegiate athletics, NCAA rules and regulations, and SEC rules and regulations.
