The Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University seeks tenure-track assistant professors, associate professors, or professors in digital advertising and strategic communication to begin August 15, 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching incorporate audience analytics, digital advertising strategy, paid / organic social media, computational social science, creative direction, storytelling, content marketing, AI, health communication and / or other related topics with nthusiasm for sharing knowledge and engaging with the public to broaden understanding and inspire learning. . Since the professor will teach within these core courses, knowledge across the discipline-and a passion for nurturing students' learning-is required. The ideal candidate for a tenure-track hire would be an active writer, researcher, and professor and also have professional experience in advertising, strategic communication, or marketing communication and the ability to teach related skills courses as well as conceptual, theoretical, and methodological material at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must demonstrate a strong research agenda that advances knowledge within strategic communication and demonstrate an ability to motivate and help students develop their own.
The professor will also supervise doctoral dissertations, master's thesis research, non-thesis option professional projects, and undergraduate honors theses. They will work closely with student organization(s) as advisors.
This is a full-time 9-month tenure-track appointment with a tenure-track academic rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The start date for this position is August 2025.

Teach two graduate and / or undergraduate courses in the Manship School. 40%
Conduct research in the field of expertise. 40%
Service to the Manship School, university, and community. Other duties as assigned. 20%
Minimum Qualifications :
The Manship School of Mass Communication seeks a colleague with expertise in advertising, strategic communication, and a contemporary understanding of the issues in this area.
- Ph.D. in Mass Communication, Advertising, Digital Media, or related discipline (A.B.D. candidates may not be considered).
- Active academic and published author of peer-reviewed publications in advertising and strategic communication. Applicants should demonstrate a promising or established research agenda in advertising, digital media, content marketing, and / or related fields.
