Job Description:
The Manager of Financial Operations for Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) is an unclassified position responsible for providing strategic financial business support to internal and external customers. The Financial Operations section of PTS is responsible for processing the day-to-day financial transactions for an annual auxiliary budget of $13M. This position will provide various financial analysis and reconciliations for the department providing support related to payroll and other business-related functions. The incumbent must work in a team environment, possess attention to detail skills, follow up on issues and projects, ensure timely transactions, and foster ethical conduct. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Sales & Services, working closely with the Parking Director to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Job Description
Provides financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking. Provides financial models for decision-making support, including financial performance models that include trends and variances. Identifies and drives process improvements, including the creation of standard work and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards. Responsible for performing internal reviews to support departmental operations communicating findings to PTS management. (35%)
Provides financial and business support for the daily administration for the PTS management system of record. Utilizes T2 Systems, Workday, and other assigned department specific systems to support department's needs for reporting, reconciliation, and auditing. Manages the day-to-day financial operations needed to complete daily reconciliations, cash collections, credit card usage, etc. Supervises, hires, and trains personnel responsible for duties such as accounts payable, procurement, inventory, building coordinator, and other similar duties. Supports the department's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems. (35%)
Responsible for understanding the entire business and financial operations for PTS to assist with resource allocations. Assists with budget planning by providing the adequate financial reporting and management analysis. Aids in troubleshooting process to aid in permanent resolutions. (15%)
Assists with the development and/or completion of the department budget, audit reporting, fee proposals, collections, comp sets. Provides processes and innovations to team to promote efficiencies and business initiatives. Reviews department contracts for compliance. Supports accounting functions for account payables and account receivables, including reports necessary to determine if revenue and expenses are aligned with the department's budget. (10%)
Works on special projects as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Sales & Services. (5%)
Additional Information
- This position has access to/directly handles cash. Financial history/credit check required per FASOP HR-04.
- Additional work hours and availability outside of standard hours of operation may be required during peak times.
- This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related experience
