Job Description :
The Department Chair in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is responsible for supporting and advancing the Department's teaching, research, and outreach activities as well as managing Departmental needs, resources, budgets, and personnel. In addition, the Chair is expected to exhibit a commitment to diversity and take a leadership role in the development efforts tied to external funding and interactions with alumni, industry, and friends of the department. The Chair reports directly to the Dean of the College of Engineering and is the primary liaison between the Department and the College.
50% Administrative duties relating to the operations of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.
25% Supporting and advancing teaching, research, and outreach activities.
25% Development efforts tied to industry and alumni relations and external funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned PhD or equivalent from an accredited institution in Electrical & Computer Engineering or closely related discipline.
Tenured faculty member in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Earned PhD or equivalent from an accredited institution in Electrical & Computer Engineering or closely related discipline.
Full professor with tenure in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.
