The Director of High School and Community Relations acts as the liaison between LSU and high schools. Work is performed under the supervision of the head football coach in collaboration with the football program staff and university administrators. Due to the very confidential nature of student-athlete recruiting, the incumbent is in a highly sensitive position and must be able to maintain trust.
60% Oversee meetings between LSU staff and on campus visiting high school coaches; Represents LSU at high school principal and athletic director meetings, particularly where LSU is asked to make representations that inform; Oversee annual High School Football Coaching Clinic; Coordinates summer football camps and is responsible for all planning and conducting of the camps; Oversee pass gate for high school coaches at football games; Liaison with youth group coaches and teams that come to campus; Liaison for school year job program; Oversee "Exit activities" for players once they've completed football careers (i.e., graduation, job placement, LSU alumni orientation).
25% Assists with on-campus recruiting visits.
10% Oversee special functions such as alumni golf outing; Assist with Coaches Clinic and Football Banquet.
5% Assist with team travel plans and post-season game activities. Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department core values through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of a respectful culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with three years experience in a collegiate football setting; Knowledge and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations. LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply— a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description.

Ability to work extended days and weekends. Travel is required.
