Grand Isle Aquaculture Specialist

**Job Overview**

Louisiana State University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Oyster Hatchery Technician in Grand Isle. This part-time temporary position offers a unique opportunity to work with our experienced team, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to promote sustainable aquaculture practices.

**About the Role**

This position involves assisting with project development, hatchery operations, and maintenance. Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and participating in educational activities, meetings, and conferences. A valid Driver's License and personal vehicle in good working order are required for travel to Grand Isle and other coastal parishes when necessary.

**Key Responsibilities**

Assist with project on oyster remote setting

Assist in all hatchery operations and maintenance

To help prepare and participate in educational activities, meetings, and conferences

**Requirements**

Bachelor of Science degree in biology, marine biology, aquaculture or fisheries

Maintain a personal vehicle in good working order to travel to Grand Isle and other coastal parishes when necessary

A valid Driver's License is required
