FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR, -RN-BSN PROGRAM
DEPARTMENT: School of Nursing
POSITION TITLE: FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR, RN-BSN PROGRAM
SUPERVISOR: Director, School of Nursing
POSITION TITLE: FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR, RN-BSN PROGRAM
SUPERVISOR: Director, School of Nursing
PURPOSE: Full-time instructor for RN-BSN program assumes responsibility, under the guidance of the Program Director of RN-BSN Program, for the delivery of 100% online instruction. This is a 12-month academic year position with a 15-hour workload expectation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Incorporate student learning teaching/learning strategies in the on line setting.
- Evaluate student performance
- Participate in School of Nursing Committees
- Available to students as identified by University Policy Statement. PS:231
- Provide input toward curriculum development and alignment as identified by School of Nursing policies, University policies, Louisiana State Board of Nursing Regulations, and ACEN standards
- Travel to LSUA campus on a quarterly basis for required curriculum development, accreditation compliance, face-to-face leadership collaboration
- Required to teach 15 workload hours per regular semester and 12 workload hours in the summer
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Doctorate Degree in Nursing preferred
- Active RN Compact license
- Two years clinical experience as registered nurse
- One year teaching experience in nursing education
- Experience in teaching in the on line environment preferred
HOURS: While this position is remote, work expectations equate to eight (8) hours per day, Monday -Friday 40 hours a week. Additional hours to accommodate the on line student, orientation requirements, or School of Nursing requests as needed.
