Job Description:
The Training Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Training and Development. They will be responsible for posting and tracking training classes, managing training calendar, maintaining badge database, scheduling and sending out registration confirmations to class attendees, and assist in organizing new hire training classes for onboarding. Strong communication skills and the ability to finish projects in a timely manner are a must. This person will need to be professional at all times and able to work with and across multiple units of the department and LSU. The Training Coordinator will manage our full training cycle and ensure we always meet our staff requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
This position will process registration applications for staff members attending trainings and manage their annual training records and badges. The Training Coordinator is responsible for promoting training opportunities to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, collecting applicant data, and maintaining a complete record of trainings and badges. 50%
Create one-sheeters and class postings to highlight upcoming trainings and recruit for participation. Identify issues affecting recruitment into training courses and implement recruitment activities to continuously improve participation. Schedule all classes for participants. Notify departments managers once staff has enrolled in training class, and ensure staff has the links and information needed to start on their assigned start date. Send out and maintain T&D instructor and course surveys and document feedback to ensure continuous improvements and development of our content and delivery. 30%
Assist Training Managers in the development and presentation of course materials related to technology being used, recruitment and retention processes and procedures, data literacy, and specific program or campus-specific content used by Training Managers for trainings. In the event of Training Managers absence, this position will assist in supporting trainings such as our monthly New Hire Training and/or weekly Employee Skill Development Trainings that may be conducted in person, hybrid, and/or Zoom. Additional support may be needed as training portfolio grows. 15%
Stay up-to-date with current training methods. Other duties may be assigned. 5%
Additional Requirements:
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience
