Job Description : Position Overview :

The Special Assistant to the Dean for Education Initiatives in the College of Human Sciences & Education serves as a senior-level administrator primarily responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to advance the college's education initiatives which encompasses the areas of research, community partnerships, community engagement and new program development - all aligned with overall mission, vision and institutional goals for the college and university. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Human Sciences & Education.

Job Duties :

Strategic Planning & Leadership (40%)

  • Identifies key education priorities and develops strategic plans to address them.
  • Oversees the implementation of education-focused initiatives, including new programs and collaboration.
  • Analyzes market trends and identifies opportunities for growth in the education landscape.

Community Engagement & Partnerships (40%)

  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. education providers and community organizations) to facilitate partnerships and outreach programming.
  • Identifies and addresses community education needs through collaborative projects.
  • Represents the college at external events and conferences to advocate for education initiatives.
  • Stays informed of relevant education related regulations, policy changes, etc. to ensure compliance within the college.
  • Other Duties (20%)

    Minimum Qualifications :

    Bachelor's in Education or related field; Experience - in education research, clinical practice, or policy development; experiencing in securing funding through grant writing and industry partnerships; strong understanding of the education landscape, including current trends and challenges
