Job Description:
Application Services Developer will maintain, configure and develop online services for the Center. Developer will work with researchers and identify requirements, technologies and needed integrations. Developer will be responsible for maintaining enterprise and center's security and technology baseline.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages service integration between various services within CCT, LSU, and external systems. Tools such as PHP, JavaScript, Python etc. are used to manage various integrations. Integrations use APIs and other standard protocols. Must have understanding of backend systems such as databases. (30%)
Developer is expected to interface with various content developers to determine appropriate styles and presentation with LSU's visual identity and accessibility guidelines. GUI based tools, CSS, JavaScript etc. may be used manage content presentation. Meets with stakeholders to identify needs, recommends appropriate solutions for their needs and defines standards and security baselines. (30%)
CCT's online presence and services are managed by CMS and web servers on Linux and Windows platforms. Developer is responsible for configuration, management, upgrades, and migration of web
services as needed. At the close of projects, tasks, and periodically, documentation should be developed to help other maintain systems and services. (20%)

Developer will backup system administrators primarily with web services tasks such as data backup, systems management, and monitoring. Developer is also responsible for management of systems during emergencies. Developer acts as a backup for system administration. Will review and audit BC/DR documentation of the systems supported. (10%)
Developer will be responsible for keeping up with technological changes related to system/web application development - front end and back end. As part of professional development, analyst will learn new tools and techniques for online applications and systems development. Will participate/train in various development activities to keep abreast of trends, features, and security of systems. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience with management and development of applications and web services.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree and at least 1 year of experience with management and development of applications and web services.
