The College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University is soliciting applications for a tenure-track faculty position with a focus on STEM Education Research.
Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in a STEM field within the College of Engineering and Science. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests related to curriculum design, technology integration in education, assessment methodologies, recruitment / retention of STEM students, and hands-on / project-driven experiential education. Candidates with backgrounds aligned with Louisiana Tech's other Research Centers will find significant opportunities for collaboration within the ISERC fields of interest.

Aligned with our Integrated STEM Education Research Center (ISERC), successful tenure-track candidates are expected to actively participate in multidisciplinary research efforts; initiate, build, and sustain an externally funded research program; and supervise masters and doctoral students. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching abilities, and a commitment to high-quality university and professional service are also expected. The College is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and / or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their disciplinary field. In addition, successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach in any of our freshman / sophomore curricular threads, including Living with the Lab and Living with Cyber curricular threads, as well as the integrated math and science courses across the various curricula.
