Louisiana Tech University is seeking a Building Superintendent to fill an unclassified position.
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in building maintenance and construction, with three years at the experienced level. Additionally, they should have at least three years of experience supervising skilled trade employees in areas such as air conditioning, heating and ventilation, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical maintenance, temperature controls, or general project labor.
The Building Superintendent will report directly to the Director of Physical Plant and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance personnel, liaison with state and regulatory agencies, independent contractors, and suppliers.
This position requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various campus departments.
The Building Superintendent will assist the Director of Physical Plant with budget planning, specification development, and supplier/servicer solicitation. They will also interface with all campus areas and must demonstrate proven leadership and communication qualities.
