Louisiana Tech University is seeking to fill the unclassified position of Building Superintendent.
The preferred candidate should have a minimum of five years experience in building maintenance/construction with at least three years at the experienced level. The preferred candidate should have at least three years experience in supervision of skilled trade employees in any of the following areas: air conditioning, heating and ventilation, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical maintenance, temperature controls, preventive maintenance or general project labor.
The position of Building Superintendent will report to the Director of Physical Plant and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance personnel, liaison with state and regulatory agencies, independent contractors and suppliers.
In addition to management of maintenance personnel, this position will assist the Director of Physical Plant with budget planning, development of specifications and solicitation of prices from suppliers and service providers. The position will interface with all areas of the campus and must have proven communication and leadership qualities.
