Through close collaboration with faculty, employers, and alumni, the Career Center is a comprehensive resource for career readiness and professional growth.
The Coordinator of Employer Campus Activities is responsible for organizing and executing career-focused events and fostering strong relationships with employers to connect students and alumni with career opportunities. This role includes event planning, database management, employer outreach, and financial tracking. Additionally, the coordinator supports student and alumni job searches and contributes to the overall success of the Career Center.
Career Events
- Plan, coordinate logistics and hospitality for employer campus activities including on-campus interviews, Spring & Fall Career Fairs, Graduate & Professional School Fair, Teacher Recruitment Day, Last Call Career Fair, and other niche fairs as needed.
- Maintain employer database for these events.
- Develop and coordinate promotion to employers for Career Center events to build the number of employers and students participating.
- Collect evaluations and report metrics from events for both employers and students
- Account for financial records payable / received for Career Fairs. Submit monthly/weekly reports to supervisor.
- Preparation of administrative reports / statistics related to career events after each event to supervisor, and data for annual report due at the end of July each year.
Employer Relations
- Discover needs & develop plans to serve employers to connect with students through Career Fairs
- Collaborate with other Career Center staff and campus faculty to serve employers to connect with students & alumni
- Support other facets of the Career Center services to serve employers i.e. on-campus interviews, informational sessions, etc.
Supporting Job Search of Students, Alumni
- Conduct seminars and classroom presentations related to job search and Career Center resources
- Support Career Center staff serving students / alumni with intern / job search strategies and resources of the Career Center
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in professional development programs appropriate for enhancement of job performance
Provide service to University on committees and as a student organization advisor
