University Engagement at Louisiana Tech University is seeking a qualified individual for a Coordinator of Membership and Marketing. This position will fulfill the mission of University Engagement by strengthening the relationships between the university and its alumni, with a focus on fostering lifelong relationships by engaging alumni, students, parents, and friends through educational opportunities, events, benefits, services, and communication strategies. This position helps strengthen the Alumni Association by focusing on membership growth and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive engagement strategy that supports the university's goals and strengthens alumni connections.
This role focuses on expanding Alumni Association membership through strategic acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives, with an emphasis on building meaningful relationships. Additionally, this position will collaborate with University Engagement staff to develop targeted membership strategies that engage both current and future alumni. This position will support the CEO of the Alumni Association. Expected duties and functions include:
- Oversee membership Growth and Engagement Programs
- Develop and Manage Future Alumni Programs
- Membership Processing
- Relationship building and outreach (affinity group liaison, mentor programs, leadership development, volunteers)
- Oversight of special projects and strategic initiatives
- Supervision of Student Engagement Staff and Organizations
- Event Planning and Execution
- Collaboration with University Departments
Essential qualifications and skills required are a Bachelor€™s degree (Masters preferred), excellent customer service skills, ability to work with all types of people and to assume facilitator and leadership roles, ability to multi-task and prioritize activities, ability to communicate professionally, with clarity and brevity (both orally and in writing), flexibility and the ability to complete assigned projects, team player with positive outlook on making an impact on others€™ lives, and competent computer/technical skills. Previous event planning, communication, and/or volunteer management experience preferred. Louisiana Tech University Alumni preferred. Position requires the ability to travel, as well as weekend or evening work.
