Preschool Teacher, School of Human Ecology: 9-month appointment, 90% teaching and 10% service: to begin September 1, 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The faculty member will be expected to:
€¢ Teach and care for three- and four-year-olds
€¢ Maintain lesson plans and other necessary records as required by the Louisiana Department of Education
€¢ Coordinate parent involvement
€¢ Maintain yearly continuing education credits
€¢ Keep NAEYC records
€¢ Supervise student residents and practica students
€¢ Collaborate on grants with faculty
€¢ Participate in professional, university, and community service
QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Family and Child Studies or Human Development and Family Science. State of Louisiana teaching certificate or ancillary teaching certificate (or eligibility to obtain one); Excellent teaching skills; Certified reliable in CLASS evaluation method.
