About this Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining all phases of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for assigned systems. You will work closely with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to execute security initiatives, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and Department of Navy cybersecurity policies.
Additionally, you will:
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Collaborate with system owners, stakeholders, and security professionals to identify risks and enhance security postures.
- Provide security guidance and training to system users, helping them navigate security protocols effectively.
- Prepare and deliver security briefings to management, keeping leadership informed of compliance status and emerging threats.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Experience: 3 years as an ISSO in a DoD environment (NMCI experience a plus).
- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to convey security concepts effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and resolve security risks.
- Collaboration: Works well independently and within a team.
- Certifications: IAM Level I certification preferred.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of RMF and NIST 800-53 security controls.
