Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing necessary support.
- Manage patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting to optimize efficiency.
- Perform urinalysis laboratory tests .
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Schedule surgery and obtain preauthorization from insurance companies
- Answer phone messages from patients and refill medications.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic clinical procedures.
- Familiarity with sterile technique practices and office procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
