Job Summary:
This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals in a friendly and supportive environment. The Dietary Aide assists in food preparation, service, and cleanup while following dietary guidelines and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation and food service according to resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
- Set up dining areas, serve meals, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and maintain overall cleanliness of the dietary department.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and facility policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Culinary Services.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service skills and a compassionate attitude toward residents.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (training provided).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
