- Performs administrative, clerical and general office duties
- Files documents and maintains records and files
- Routes information to records as necessary
- Types letters, reports, stencils, forms, receipts, accounting and financial statements, permits, or other materials from rough drafts or instructions
- Maintains bookkeeping records (personnel payroll, supplies, construction, maintenance, activity)
- Answers phone, provides information and materials upon request, attempts to resolve any complaints or problems according to precedent or prescribed policy, or refers them to appropriate authorities
- Maintains files of records, reports, letters, periodicals, etc
- Sorts and delivers inter-office mail
- Uses mainframe data base terminal, personal computer and microfiche
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- One year of office clerical experience
Equivalency:
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Other Minimums:
- Must type accurately at 35 wpm
- Must be of good moral character, with no criminal or felony record inconsistent with the provisions of this paragraph. Unacceptable will be persons who have been convicted of a felony, or who have any criminal action pending against them
- An applicant may be disqualified for multiple misdemeanors, an unacceptable criminal record, or multiple traffic violations
- Applicants who have bought or sold marijuana within three years of application, or have bought or sold any controlled substance or narcotic drug without a prescription within six years of application will be disqualified
- Must submit to a pre-employment drug screening
- Must submit to a pre-employment polygraph test
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Physical Requirement & Working Conditions:
- Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
- Communicates with individuals in person and utilizes all types of communication media
- Lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds
