Conducts laboratory tests on water samples and blood samples
Examples of Duties
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Cleans and sterilizes equipment
Conducts laboratory tests on water samples from surface waters, public swimming pools, and blood samples from birds
Conducts chemical tests and bacterial analysis of water
Performs suspended solids tests to measure level of water pollution
Conducts serological tests on blood specimens
Prepares media, solutions, stains or specimens
Performs related work
Minimum Requirements
College/University
At least 10 college credit hours in:
Biology
Botany
Chemistry
Microbiology
Related field
One year of laboratory experience
