Description
Essential Functions:
Recruits and trains volunteers in the delivery of meals to persons confined at home
Coordinates the activities and services provided for senior citizens at a nutrition center
Maintains records on program operations

Examples of Work:
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Requisitions equipment, materials and supplies and maintains inventories
Recruits, trains and coordinates the activities of volunteers
Orders meals from the caterer based on the number of program participants and transports meals from one area to another
Arranges for the transportation of program participants to the center
Provides for the delivery of meals to persons confined at home
Maintains sanitary conditions sufficient for serving food
Collects and accounts for money
Maintains records on program operations and completes standardized forms
Organizes group activities and schedules programs
Performs related work
Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirement & Working Conditions:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Two years of social service programs, customer service, food service or clerical experience
Other Minimums:
Must provide one's own source of transportation
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education, volunteer and work experience may be substituted
