What are the responsibilities and job description for the OMB Coordinator position at Louisville Metro Government?
The purpose of this position is to completes routine compliance reviews as it relates to contracts, policies and procedures.
This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
• Evaluates policies and procedures and develops and implements modifications.
• Identifies strategies and priorities and evaluates program effectiveness to ensure maximum utilization of resources and to achieve goals and objectives.
• Plans, schedules and adjusts projects and work procedures to meet deadlines.
• Coordinates open records inquiries and general information requests and prepares responses.
• Analyzes research including municipal financial best practices.
• Assists in implementing new systems and upgrades to existing systems, by coordinating and overseeing testing efforts of team, processes, procedures, controls, and tools to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in transactional processing.
• Manages and maintains vendor accounts.
• Prepares and compiles financial information, reconciliations, and journal vouchers.
• Serves as a contact for resolution of complicated issues, working with vendors and locations to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes.
• Maintains current supplier records including, W-9 forms and MFHBE designations.
• Analyzes, reviews and supports management regarding processes and activities.
• Responds timely to requests for information from management, auditors or other business units.
• Works with Procurement to resolve contract pricing variances or compliance issues.
• Supports training to Finance teams as needed, including drafting of process documentation and training materials.
• Prepares and submits required regulatory reporting.
• Ensures key finance procedures are documented and cross-trained.
• Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or Public Administration or related discipline.
• Four (4) years of experience in a finance related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
