Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to coordinate community outreach and social service program events and activities. Conducts employee and volunteer training and social service client assessments.
This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESILIENCE & COMMUNITY SERVICES - KHBE NAVIGATOR PROGRAM
Assists individuals, families, and small businesses with enrollment in Qualified Health Plans (QHP) and insurance affordability programs.
Informs the public about health insurance options, insurance affordability programs, and QHP selection.
Submits applications for other public assistance programs on behalf of Kentuckians.
Provides program assistance remotely via phone or other means.
Works with the public outside of their offices; Conduct enrollment activities in a face-to-face manner; conduct home visits as needed.
Travels to consumer locations and local events to educate Kentuckians about the State Based Marketplace and assist with enrollment activities.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Education, Social Science or related discipline.
Four (4) years of social work, social service, community service or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
RESILIENCE & COMMUNITY SERVICES - KHBE NAVIGATOR PROGRAM
Register for and successfully complete required Annual State Based Marketplace (SBM) Kynector Certification training and any training required by Division of Health Benefit Exchange (DHBE).
Have reliable means of transportation.
Provide proof of vehicle insurance appropriate for business use.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Performs light to medium work that involves walking or standing virtually all of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
UNAVOIDABLE HAZARDS (WORK ENVIRONMENT)
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
