Role And Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of Klein Older Adult Services, Counseling, Homecare, Family Stability, Immigrant and Refugee Services and Career Services departments including program and fiscal management, budgeting, staffing, and strategic, operational, and business planning as well as marketing, outcomes measurement and evaluations.
Supervise staff. This would include individual (as needed) and group supervision, evaluation and assessment of training needs. Develop a procedure for supervision of students interns and staff.
Create and implement new programming as need arises, either fee-based or grant funded, to meet the needs of seniors, caregivers, adults, children and families.
Actively solicit new funding sources for services via grants, foundations and other sources in conjunction with Grants Manager, CFO and CEO. Monitor all present grant requirements to ensure compliance.
Continue outreach program using formal and informal techniques.
Participate in community planning groups representing JFCS and act as an advocate for clients.
Represent units’ work to Board of Directors and participate in Board committees to heighten effective service delivery.
Assist in budget review and development for units of responsibility.
Agency Responsibilities: Attend and participate in scheduled management and staff meetings; maintain record keeping according to procedures and practices of JFCS; respect confidentiality of clients; participate as a team member in case review, strategic and operational planning and agency’s activities.
Professional Development: Attend workshops and training sessions which have relevance to direct service delivery, management and business development.
Qualifications And Education Requirements

Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Master’s or equivalent in training and experience.
- 2-5 years clinical and/or management experience.
- Sensitivity to Jewish values and cultural diversity.
- Tasks involve sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching and performing other physical requirements commensurate with demands of the position.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment in performance of duties.
- Must have good vision (corrective lenses acceptable)
- Must be able to hear (hearing aids acceptable)
- Must be able to speak (express or exchange of information by means of spoken words).
- May occasionally lift and/or carry/move up to 25 pounds
- Contact with internal and external customers, vendors, outside agencies and the general public.
- Ability to work in an office environment and sits for long periods of time.
- May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and during emergencies
- May be required to physically assist clients with activities or moving as per the demands of the position.
