Essential Functions
- Enhance patient access to Lourdes Health services.
- Prepare the patient for examinations, procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Assist physician or licensed health care practitioner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and logs.
- Provide appropriate review of processes to enhance efficient patient care and safety.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care as allowed by Certification as a Medical Assistant appropriate to the population and specific needs of the patients served.
- Exhibit team building spirit in relations with co-workers.
- Setup and perform an EMG.
- Responsible for all EMG duties and functions.
Qualifications and requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary school successful completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant college program and become certified through by the American Association of Medical Assistants or National Certified Medical assistant examination through the National Center for Competency Testing required.
- Previous experience in a physician’s office preferred.
