What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer Intern position at Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc.?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in assignments which include site planning and layout, plan preparation, permit applications, storm water and waste water collection and treatment design and construction oversight;
- Conduct field visits under the guidance of a licensed engineer;
- May assist survey crew to collect and report data;
- Assist in AutoCAD and HydroCAD design;
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Skills Required:
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Civil Engineering, or related degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher;
- Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills are mandatory;
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with design, drafting or engineering software such as AutoCAD, HydroCAD and/or MicroStation a plus;
- Must be a team player and possess a collaborative attitude;
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change;
- Be self-motivated;
- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience are a plus.
