What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Management Assistant position at Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc.?
Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for a talented individual to join our team as a Construction Management Intern in our office.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to assist our project managers in all aspects of our construction projects, including start-up, scheduling, submittals, quality control, project safety, cost control, and delivery of the project according to established plans and specifications.
This is a paid internship opportunity where you will work with experienced professionals who will provide formal training and mentoring needed to grow professionally and strive towards opportunities that LBC can offer.
You will be working on various projects, including:
- Assisting estimators, project managers, and field superintendents throughout all phases of projects, including performing quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes, scheduling, submittals, reviewing & coordinating subcontractor/material supplier quotes/subcontracts/PO's, preparing project specific health & safety documents, and assistance in coordination of self-performed work;
- Attending job meetings;
- Assisting with a variety of reports, work plans, schedules, budgets;
- Creating, setting up, and maintaining project filing systems.
The ideal candidate will have junior or senior status attending college or university studying Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with experience in site/concrete/remediation/building construction project and/or civil engineering experience being a plus. They should possess excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, leadership abilities, flexibility, well-organized, detail-oriented, and multi-tasking skills.
