Behavior Technician (NO RBT CERTIFICATION)

 REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ):

• Meet all requirements to apply for Registered Behavior Technician certification.
  1. 18 years of age
  2. High School Diploma
  3. Pass Background Check
• By applying to this position you will be contacted by us to help you with the registration process for both the RBT and Nevada registration. 
• We will guide your completion of the  40 Hr. RBT Training
• We will help you complete the BACB Competency Assessment

 Essential Responsibilities of an RBT:

• Provide direct client treatment in 1:1 and group settings, creatively utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
• Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols provided by the BCBA/BCaBA.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training related to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training to perform job responsibilities to the required standard.

 Basic Duties:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
• Ability to seek and accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill-sets accordingly.
• Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Ability and desire to work with children between the ages of 2-17 years of age

 Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
• Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
• Must be physically present at the assigned job location, including home, school, center, and community placements.
• Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
• Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
• Requirement of 15-40 hrs. worked per week

 Preferred availability:

• 1-7pm Monday-Friday
• Saturdays 8am-3pm
