Job Description:
Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests a variety of moderate to semi‐complex products to achieve customer quality and on‐time delivery schedules. May perform lock wiring and final detailing functions. Works on products that contain mostly mechanical and some electrical components, single and some dual hydraulic systems, and multiple part families. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Receives limited supervisory guidance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Perform moderate to semi-complex assembly and test functions in a manufacturing environment.
· Utilize mechanical, electronic, and test equipment to ensure product conformance to specifications.
· Set up, verify, and adjust test stands for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and cryogenic tests.
· Conduct tests using data acquisition equipment (e.g., LabVIEW) and interpret/record results.
· Troubleshoot malfunctions and rework products based on test data.
· Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, and customer requirements.
· Implement lean initiatives and provide improvement suggestions.
· Assist in training less experienced team members.
· Ensure all equipment is calibrated according to schedule.
· Maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area and follow safety rules.
· Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production control to resolve issues.
· Requires at least five years of industry-related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
· Proficient in interpreting blueprints, test specs, and performing semi-complex calculations.
· Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical background required.
· May require specialized certification (e.g., FAA repair license, soldering certification).
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to varied assignments.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and interpret technical documents, including electronic schematics.
· Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, mustimeters, AC /DC power supplies, and voltage /current probes.
· Assemble and modify circuit board layouts with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications
· Experience with and an ability to read wire tables and wire routing, wire diagrams, blueprints, schematics, color codes, measurements, mathematics, and both power and manual cable building tools.
· Able to use pinning and stripping tools, make all types of connections, identify breakout positions, sleeve types, and braid requirements.
· Able to solder to terminals, connectors, and braid.
· Need hands-on experience with component-level or CCA-level repairs.
Education & Experience:
· High School or equivalent.
