Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or 2nd Swing Shift (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter with experience in autobody shop painting, automatic paint equipment, and rust removal. This is not a house painting role; candidates must have experience working in paint booths with protective clothing.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hand-operated and automatic painting equipment to apply final finishes.
- Set up and operate automatic paint lines and hand-painting booths.
- Prepare sprayers and mix coating liquids to achieve the desired properties and color.
- Clean and maintain all spraying equipment and brushes using solvents.
- Heat and spray wax onto products after testing.
- Inspect work in process, including checking paint thickness and maintaining documentation.
- Perform minor painting and preparation duties, including:
- Cleaning surfaces to remove dirt, oil, and media.
- Stripping and cleaning improperly finished parts for repainting.
- Removing rust and old paint from metal surfaces using acids, wire brushes, or steel wool.
- Masking devices and preparing them for painting.
- Monitoring chemical concentrations in cleaning baths.
- Applying filler paint and/or paste to applicable engraved areas.
- Maintain control over paint supplies and handle hazardous waste safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in an industrial or autobody shop painting environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with engineers and leadership.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
