Job Description :-
- How many years of Physician billing and Accounts Receivable experience do you have? In what specialties?
- How comfortable are you calling and obtaining claim status with the insurance company? And what questions would you ask and what would the action be?
- Are you able to identify if the procedure is denied incorrectly and if so, do you know what questions to ask insurance or how to appeal?
- Give me an example of when you encountered this problem and how you handled it?
- Do you have knowledge and understand modifiers? Give me an example of when you would use one?
- Are you able to multitask and are you organized, since follow through is very important, before timely filing comes into play?
- What are some claim filing policies with the payers, that you are aware of?
Requirements:
- Applicant must be proficient in hospital-based physician billing and collections with at least 2-3 years' experience.
- STRONG PHYSICIAN Accounts Receivable experience. Must be able to follow claim and resolve.
- Must also have knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medi-Cal and Medicare Insurance plan guidelines.
- Ability to audit credit accounts,
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and LCD/NCD coding including ensuring compliance to accepted guidelines.
- Cerner experience PREFERRED.
