Job Description:
Job Title: Paint Technician
Location: Alton Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92618
Schedule: 2nd shift (1:30 PM-10:00 PM)
Contract Type: 6 Months Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Position Summary:
- Accurately and efficiently Prime and Paint aerospace products that meet AS9100 quality standards.
- May perform lock wiring and final detailing functions.
- Works on products that contain mostly mechanical and some electrical components, single and some dual hydraulic systems, and multiple part families.
- Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Receives limited supervisory guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Paints moderate to semi‐complex production units. May use hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Sets up moderate to semi‐complex production units in test booths before spraying. Experience using BINKS spray guns required.
- Produces and inspects assemblies to see if they conform to product specifications (MIL- Specs).
- Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, customer requirements, and quality directives.
- Actively implements lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
- May interface with manufacturing engineering and production control to relay product problems and progress of work.
- Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
- Assists in training less experienced team members.
- Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
- May perform other related responsibilities.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
