Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and household chores.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote community involvement and enhance social skills.
- Implement individualized care plans that respect resident rights and promote autonomy.
- Provide support for memory care activities to assist clients with cognitive challenges.
- Assist in heavy lifting when necessary to aid clients with mobility issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to coordinate care effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Experience
- Previous experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with home community care practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy is essential.
- Experience in senior care or memory care settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the needs of the clients.
- A background in social work or related fields can be beneficial for understanding client needs.
