Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Assessor to join our team. As a Mental Health Assesor, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with mental health conditions in their treatment and recovery journey. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the clinical team
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities such as applied behavior analysis, clinical counseling, mental health counseling, dance therapy, art therapy, and Christian counseling
- Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors
- Assist patients with daily activities and provide emotional support
- Utilize crisis management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a mental health setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Empathy, patience, and compassion for individuals with mental health challenges
