Development Specialist
New Position
Part Time – Up to 20 hours per week
The Specialist must have a strong desire to help a non-profit organization serving women survivors of sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation and addiction.
Reporting to, and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Specialist will lead development efforts for Love’s Arm Outreach as it experiences growth related to the demand for services to trafficking survivors.
As a new position in the organization, the Specialist will have the opportunity to build the development function. The position involves demonstration of strong emotional intelligence and the ability to characterize giving as tangible act of goodwill that benefits trafficking survivors and the community as a whole.
Specific duties include:
- Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan, taking stepsto ensure that the plan aligns with strategic organizational and financial goals.
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, churches and corporations
- Manage the implementation of the current donor data base, Little Green Light
- Work with the Administration Manager to ensure gift processing and accurate recording of donations.
- Maintain knowledge of cutting edge technology related to donor management.
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major supporters, including quarterly recognition of donors and communication of LYBUNTs.
- Overseeing organization of special events
- Preparing development status reports to the Board of Directors
- Maintaining calendar of grants and overseeing volunteer grant writers.
- Leveraging relationships with volunteers to assist with fundraising activities, and donor activities.
- Serving as ambassador for the mission of Love’s Arm
- Leveraging social media, maintaining relationships with print, television and radio media to promote development activities.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management preferred. In lieu of degree, 2 years experience in non-profit management and fundraising with ability to show results.
· Excellent written and communication skills related to influencing others to give.
· Knowledge of fundraising and donor management software.
· Desire to make a difference in the lives of trafficking survivors.
· Knowledge of local, state and national foundations as sources of support.

$25.00 per hour plus bonuses
Mileage and phone stipend provided
