What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Admin Assistant position at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores?
BASIC PURPOSE
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Legal Department by assisting with tasks related to contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, legal billing, office organization; also communicate with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate project resources, and ensure the smooth operation of the legal department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, tracking deadlines, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain files, records and documentation, both electronic and physical, to ensure timely updates and accessibility.
- Assist with basic financial tasks, like tracking expenses and processing invoices.
- Prepare, file, and track deadlines for corporate filings, reports, and applications.
- Coordinate execution of documents and notarization, as needed.
- Conduct basic electronic research and gather information, as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties, such as clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist legal and licensing team members in the development of project management documents such as project schedules, meeting agendas, project plans, and reports.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by members of the Legal Services Department.
