Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Cashier, you will work in a fast-paced environment providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean store while making customers feel welcome.
About the Job:
Cashiers perform a variety of tasks including handling customer transactions, operating a cash register, cleaning their working area and other areas as needed, and cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing needs, and making recommendations
- Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently while following all state and local laws
- Maintain a clean and organized store by cleaning their direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs
- Ability to move, lift 25 pounds, and work in various temperatures
- Cross-train in other departments as needed to provide flexibility and support to the team
