What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Loved Ones Angels LLC?

- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri are the main days needed. The guardian is flexible on time as long as it is a consistent schedule that she can plan accordingly - preferably starting in the mornings for each day. Would need two staff to cover 51 hours per week or one reliable and serious staff to take all those hours.
- Individual would need assistance with:
- Retrieving mail and deliveries [most things that come to the house are for Shawn]
- Putting away deliveries such as depends and milk feed supplies in designated storage areas in his room.
- Putting away clean clothes - guardian will wash the clothes as needed and place the clean ones in a basket in his room
- Retrieving meds and pudding [on behalf of] the individual and setting them in front of him at scheduled times
- He can feed them to himself, but will cough [sometimes spit up] out of reflex between every 3rd swallow.
- Monitor and change his depends as needed to ensure that he stays clean and dry.
- Encourage and assist him with doing PT exercises to maintain his muscle strength and flexibility.
- Assist with reposition and transfers as needed [has a Hoyer lift and power wheelchair].
- Weather permitting assist him to go outside for fresh air and possibly stroll around the immediate neighborhood.
- Provide in bed sponge bath 2x weekly and as needed to ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
