- Lovelace Women’s Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Additionally, this position measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.
Job Requirements:
- High School or GED
- Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course
- 2 years’ experience in acute or long-term care
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification
