Responsibilities
- Work in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
- Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School or GED
- Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1 year experience in acute or long-term care
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course
- Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification
