Job Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Position Type: Part-Time 0.6 FTE 2025-2026 School Year
Pay Range: $25,000-$30,000, depending on experience and professional criteria
Location: Lyceum (Elementary) Campus and Academy (Middle/High) Campus
Reports To: LCS Executive Director
SUMMARY:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a sense of community within Loveland Classical Schools (LCS) while promoting the school's programs and maintaining its brand. This is achieved by overseeing the creation and distribution of marketing materials, website content, and e-communications that support both the school’s strategic marketing plan and its community-building efforts. In collaboration with the Marketing Team, the Coordinator plans and staffs promotional events, LCS-sponsored activities, and regular Information Meetings for prospective families, ensuring that these initiatives strengthen connections within the school community and enhance engagement among students, parents, and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop content for website, social media, LCS marketing collateral, and email communications
- Promote and help coordinate many diverse events throughout the local community to promote LCS
- Develop content for regular parent/guardian facing newsletters such as Parent Pride (monthly) and Lion’s Roar (weekly).
- Set up and attend most promotional events
- Handle production and distribution of promotional materials, including school informational content, brand schwag, event posters and graphics and more.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with local businesses and organizations that agree to distribute and post LCS promotional materials
- Maintain and account for the marketing budget; work with the Business Office to purchase marketing materials
- Develop and maintain social media strategies, including various third-party review and rating sites.
- Promote and enforce the Board-approved Brand Identity Program across various school organizations, teams, and groups.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications practices
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the LCS Executive Director
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Familiarity with graphic design and content creation tools, including print production and acquisition of materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with website content management and email marketing platforms.
- Ability to plan and execute community development activities effectively.
- Ability to plan and execute promotional events effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams and work independently.
- Knowledge of budget management and purchasing processes.
OTHER DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of charter or independent schools.

- This is an AT-WILL employment position. This means that the employee may be discharged for any reason or no reason at any time at the will of the school
- This position will be exempt, meaning that the employee is not entitled to overtime pay
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
